It’s a new year and J. Dawg Journeys has a new look! I created this website back in 2014. It’s built on WordPress and since the start I’ve been using a customized theme from Colorlib for the layout, look, and feel. That theme has worked well but I wanted to apply a new look that provides a better experience when displaying my content on mobile devices.
Back in 2014, only about a third of my traffic came from mobile devices. Now it’s over 60%. I also wanted to be able to include and showcase my videos on this website.

I’m now using the Divi theme from Elegant Themes for my website. Elegant Themes is one of the top providers or WordPress themes and Divi is the second most popular theme used on all WordPress sites.
I’ve built a couple other websites for organizations using Divi and I really like what I can do with it.
I hope you enjoy the new website experience. The same content is still here – over 300 travel articles and over 2,700 pictures! And my purpose is still the same – to document and share my travel experiences.
I’m looking forward to 2023. I’m blessed to be still living my dream, exploring new places, learning new things, and hitting the road whenever I can. Thanks for following me and reading my content.
Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think or if you find something that doesn’t work.

Your posts are usually very well written but the double `this` in your 2nd line is quite noticeable.
Happy New Year
Thanks Steve.
I do like the new look! Just got a chance to read your post on the MOTB. Very informative, and we’ll researched, and some history that I didn’t know. Our grandson and his class got to visit DC last fall and enjoyed the museum a lot. Thanks for sharing your travels.
Happy New Year, J. Dawg !!!, The New look is great but even more important is what you have to say. Tell us where you are now and what you are up to. Make us envious and jealous. Also in 2023 include your wife a little more in your adventures and pictures. Larry
