Hi Sela,
The issue with the lack of birds in the everglades, has less to do with climate issues and more to do with development and changing the water flow of a critically important watershed.  I don&#039;t think people fully understood or appreciated how important the Everglades is to maintaining the viability of south Florida.  Thanks for reading and commenting.

					<description><![CDATA[Great story, Jim. American crocodile! Beautiful picture. I never thought that I would see any other crocodiles besides the regular ones that we would normally see. Fantastic picture! These are the stories that should be told more often so we are aware of the changes in the eco-system. Perhaps folks will take to heart the frequent storms that we have been experiencing. I hope the birds will make their way back to FL so the beauty of the Everglades is protected. Thank you for sharing this great story.]]></description>
