In reply to Bill Johnson. Bill, Thanks for reading my blog. It depends on the weather. Last year when we left in Mar, we had to winterize while on the way home. This year in April, the temps are such we don't need to winterize. I always carry a jug of RV antifreeze just in case. J. Dawg

Meeting new people while on vacation can be the ‘icing on the cake’. Take in beautiful natural sites and get to know interesting people; that is a great way to spend one’s retirement. I am curious; do you winterize your RV before heading back north? Sub-zero temps are still a possibility here in Minnesota this time of year; not sure if that is the case for your home. I have been to the moose 1time. With a good friend Jim. That I became friendly with at F.M.B. FLA. In the winter of 2017. The moose is a good thing. 1 time & I say good deal come on $60 bucks. That’s a hell of bargain.

In reply to Roger Bohnke. Thanks, Roger. To join a Moose Lodge you just have to be sponsored by another member. Basically, be a good person and willing to pay $60 per year in dues.

Always enjoy your descriptions of your travels JDawg. That RV park sounds like a fine place to spend the winter with a great bunch of active people. We spent a week in March at Koreshan State Park basically commuting to all the sites around Fort Myers each day in our Winnebago Travato. Nice park and fairly close to where you were I think. The Moose Lodge sounds like a great idea. What’s involved in joining one?
