We will begin our RV adventures in June or July – whenever our new Winnebago Travato arrives. Really looking forward to it. Appreciate your ideas on this topic. We’ve made many long road trips together over our 39 years of marriage, but always to hotels or condos. This will be a whole new experience, but hey, that’s the whole point isn’t it? Really looking forward to it.

I would add just one thing that dovetails with your points 6 and 7. Be an active participant! Makes it a whole lot more fun if both are coming up with ideas for things to do. Lowers the planning pressure and adds unexpected variety to the trip as well.
