I checked out your blog. Looks like you had a nice trip. We didn't make it down to Chincoteague but plan to return next year. Thanks for sharing.
J. Dawg

We just returned from there, Outer Banks and Blue Ridge Parkway, our third trip. This year, we went to Chincoteague. Though we stayed in a private campground that is more expensive than we like (Tom's Cove, $47 for E/W-cash only), it was a great park and we rode our bikes to the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. It was a great detour (you can read about it here if you'd like: http://dlrvtrippers.blogspot.ca/2014/10/as-days-5-8.html)

There were three Skinnie Winnie's in our campground loop! We saw horses every day. Two days they were in the campground. Thanks for reading.
J. Dawg

Looks like you had another "Skinnie Winnie" there as a neighbor. ;-) You really got lucky with the horse visitation. I was there 4 nights in the National Seashore campground, and had to stalk them on the beach. Never once did they come into our campground. Very nice photos!
