I’m just about to wrap up another pleasant winter stay at St. Augustine Beach.  This will be our sixth year coming down to north FL and escaping winter.  It was cooler than normal this year, but a lot warmer than it was back home in New England.  I got some good beach time in and got back on the bike after a 4 year hiatus.  Overall, it was a very good stay.

Below is a scrapbook of pictures with comments on some of the memorable moments.

I got to look at palm trees and at the beach every morning.

I took walks on the beach most days,
and walked the length of Anastasia Island State Park (3+miles) seeing the unspoiled dunes.
I finally ate a meal at the Columbia Restaurant in St Augustine and enjoyed their famous 1905 salad,
and had spectacular barbecue lunch’s at Smokin D’s.

My wife learned to ride a Harley,

and got a new iPhone.

I learned to bring my own drinks into the Daytona Speedway.

I got to see the #3 car race again and Dale Jr. (88) win the Daytona 500
And got to enjoy a lunch and the scenery at Hooters.
